Questions we are askedIs the free protocol enough?
For one person, often yes. The free protocol is the complete method, and it stays free and open source. The Pro Kit is for when you want it written for your sector, installed on your platform in a known-good configuration, and licensed for use inside a team.
What do I actually receive?
A download link to a folder of Markdown and JSON files: the five editions, the five guides, the compact version, the schema, the examples and the rollout guide, plus a licence file. No software to install, no account with us. Updates arrive by email: for twelve months on Individual, for as long as the licence is active on team tiers.
Why are team licences annual?
Because the editions and the protocol move with the models. A detection procedure written against this year’s failure modes needs revising when the models change how they fail, and a team standard that drifts from the current version stops being a standard. The annual licence keeps every named user on the same current version for as long as the team runs it. One person can live with a snapshot; a team cannot.
Can I switch from Individual to a team licence?
Yes. Write to hello@riftveil.ai with your purchase email. If you switch within 30 days of buying Individual, the €79 is credited against the first year of Small team or Team.
Which models does it work with?
Any model that accepts a system prompt or custom instructions and can hold roughly 8,000 tokens of instructions: current Claude, GPT, Gemini and Copilot models all qualify. The compact version exists for platforms with tighter limits. The guides give per-platform settings.
Does the Kit send my data anywhere?
No. The Kit is text you install in your own tools. Whatever you paste stays with the model provider you already use, under their terms. Riftveil.ai never sees it.
What does the licence allow?
Individual: use by one named person, including in tools they build for themselves. Small team and Team: use by 5 or 25 named users in one organisation, including deployment in internal assistants and agents, for as long as the annual licence is active. No tier allows reselling, redistributing or publishing the editions or guides outside the licensed organisation. The free protocol itself remains Apache 2.0, so anything you build on the generic version is unaffected.
Can I get an invoice, or pay by bank transfer?
The checkout issues an invoice with your VAT number automatically. For bank transfer, purchase orders, more than 25 seats, or a Challenge Lab, email hello@riftveil.ai.
